Before its American Premiere in New York in May, the new documentary ‘CHRIS GOLLON: Life in Paint’ about (former Union member) artist Chris Gollon (1953 – 2017) and produced by (current Union member) David Tregunna, will be screened at The Garden Cinema on 4th March as part of the Doc ’N Roll Film Festival.
The film looks at how Gollon collaborated with musicians to innovate his imagery, and features Thurston Moore, Eleanor McEvoy and Yi Yao, artist Maggi Hambling and music by the Skids, Sleaford Mods and Gavin Bryars.
Please meet at the Garden Cinema bar at 7.30pm. The film starts at 8pm.
For anyone interested, there is a double portrait of Chris Gollon in the Channing Williams Room. Sneak a peek if it’s free sometime.
